I’m Kate Seward, a published poet, academic, media professional, and founder of Seward Prep. I studied English at Yale, then got a master’s degree in creative writing at NYU. I spent ten years teaching expository, creative, and business writing at NYU, Stanford University, and the Stanford Graduate School of Business, as well as mentoring private clients one-on-one. In 2015 I pivoted and went to Paramount’s internal creative agency, and from there to R/GA, an award-winning advertising agency. At Seward Prep, I unite my branding and creative experience to help students strategically plan their academic careers, learn how to write and think critically, and produce college essays that get admissions officers to sit up and take notice.
